Senior Developer / Head of Infrastructure (20014 - 2019)
As a senior developer I worked on multiple projects during my time with AB Multimedia Ltd. using a variety of platforms and languages including PHP, Laraval and Java. I worked closely with account managers to produce/follow project briefs, quotes, deliverables and timelines.
I was heavily involved in the setup and build of hosting platforms/servers and would manage projects’ DNS entries, Cloudflare records and launch.
I was critical in streamlining the development process, improving automation and deployment and continually improving the efficiency of the team.

In addition to my role as a senior developer I was also responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s internal IT infrastructure and servers. This involved strategic planning of the internal IT infrastructure, procuring new equipment, managing maintenance contracts, installation and setup of new equipment, server maintenance, email administration and managing the company’s archives and backups.
During my time in this role I was also heavily involved in ensuring the company was GDPR compliant, implemented the recommendations of cyber essentials and ensured disaster recovery procedures were in place with redundancy, failover and off-site backups.
Since leaving my role with AB Multimedia Ltd. I have continued to work closely with AB as a developer consultant – offering my technical expertise and advice as well as working on freelance projects when required.
