Eats #8: Spinach and Goat's Cheese Risotto
This weeks number is 129, Spinach and goat’s cheese risotto.
I love risotto and already make a mighty fine tomato or mushroom risotto so I’m looking forward to learning how Jamie Oliver makes his.
I must admit thought I’m not a massive fan of spinach and the green colour of the risotto does put me off slightly but as they say… “the proof is in the pudding”...

Eats #7: Roasted Cauliflower
This weeks number is 342, Roasted cauliflower with cumin, coriander and almonds.
Although this isn’t a meal in itself (more of an accompaniment or side dish) I’m glad it’s this weeks recipe. I’m looking forward to trying something completely different and a new take on what can be a boring vegetable.

Reads #1: Finally Finished....
Today at 12:57pm I finally finished my first ‘Reads’ challenge, “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.
I realise that finishing my book on the last day of the month is cutting it fine and I was really close to failing my challenge before it had even started. Lessons to take away from my first book:

Eats #5: Delicious Roasted White Fish Wrapped in...

This weekend I’m in Broad Haven, Pembrokeshire so my ‘Shoots’ updates will be dependent on mobile/wifi reception.

Eats #4: Prawn Cocktail
This weeks number is… 264, Prawn cocktail.
Another seafood dish, how exciting… I’m starting to think my random number generator has it in for me.
Despite the initial disappointment the recipe sounds OK, not very challenging but not a standard prawn cocktail either. Interesting ingredients in this challenge include Brandy, Cayenne Pepper, and something called Pangrattato.
